Flex Developer

We're seeking an experienced candidate for the role of Flex Developer. The position will report to the Director, Application Development and will be located in San Francisco, CA. The successful candidate should have experience driving technology-wide Flex architectures and platform decisions and processes and provide technical architecture oversight, communicate technical decisions and processes. S/He should have the ability to deliver projects successfully and on time with little oversight required. Must have extensive experience with application and web servers with strong analytical and implementation skills. Experience working in a Linux or Unix OS environment is a plus. Research, write, and manage reusable libraries of code and components to add to the efficient design of future projects within the Company. Review design comps to determine technical limitations and contribute possible alternatives, where appropriate, Develop prototypes and proofs of concepts to support design strategy and business development. Is enthusiastic, highly motivated, and a detail oriented individual with a passion for internet technologies and has demonstrated a proven ability to design, develop and implement high-quality code in a timely manner. The candidate must have: Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, or EE preferred 3+ years experience designing and implementing complex applications in Flex/Flash Expert knowledge of ActionScript 3.0, Flash, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript and related web technologies Should have a good understanding of MVC and application of MVC to flex Solid working experience with the latest Flex and related technologies like Flash, Flash Remoting Server, Flash Communication Server, Socket Server and video/audio integration. Knowledge of bandwidth optimization of SWFs and related assets Experience with custom UI component development and consuming XML/SOAP within Flex. Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming methodology and Client-Server architecture. Good understanding of theories related to interface design, usability and interactivity Ability to multi-task and manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously Experience working with geographically separated projects and teams is a plus Knowledge of current trends and best practices Ability to work with designers to translate interactive design comps into working Flex applications and websites Visual design skills (design background and/or portfolio) a plus Demonstrated ability to accurately estimate and scope development work
