What is CallWave for your Cell Phone 2.0?
CallWave for your Cell Phone 2.0 is a new product, which supercharges your existing cell phone service, allowing you to screen voicemail messages as they are being left, transfer those calls to your home/office phone, receive voicemail messages by email, and take cell phone calls over your computer (even when your phone is off!).
-
How much does CallWave charge to use the service?
It's FREE... CallWave does not charge for this service.
-
Are there any ads?
Nope! However, we may occasionally send you announcements and promotions for other CallWave affiliated services.
-
How can you afford to give away this service for free? What's the catch?
There's no catch. We hope that if you like and enjoy the free service, you might be interested in the premium options we currently have available, and the new ones on the horizon.
-
How long will this service be free? Is there a trial period?
There are no plans on the horizon to charge for the free service. And, again, the free service is FREE... so there is no trial period.
-
Will my cell phone company charge me for using this service?
If you have a popular cell phone plan, you shouldn't be charged anything other than normal airtime use.
However, if you're concerned, you might want to double-check on the following:
- Do you have free long distance included with your plan? (you probably do)
- Does your phone company charge anything for forwarding? (most only use airtime minutes)
-
Is it easy to sign up for the service?
Yes! Most subscribers will be up and running within a few minutes. Click here to start the registration process.
-
How do I cancel if I don't like the service?
You can cancel the service online at any time in the Mobile Zone by clicking here, or by calling CallWave's customer service group toll-free (number provided after registration).
-
What will my callers hear when I use this service?
If you don't answer your phone, or press "Ignore", your callers will hear your personal greeting (if you recorded one), and will be prompted to leave a message.
Your callers will not be able to tell you are screening their call. However, if you press "1" or "2" to connect the call, your callers will hear a connecting tone, and then you'll be able to talk with them.
-
Do I have to screen all of my calls?
Nope! When a call comes in to your cell phone, you can still answer as you always did. However, if you want to answer in screening mode, simply press "Ignore" on your phone, and we'll place another call to you (from CallWave), which you can safely answer. Your caller will never know!
-
How will I check my messages?
With CallWave, you have several options:
- Check messages from your cell phone, like you do today
- Listen to the voicemail attachments emailed to you
- Listen to the voicemail messages stored in the client
- Call a toll-free number
-
Can I install the CallWave software in multiple locations?
Of course! During our beta trials, many customers installed the software at home and the office, and then kept their phones turned off to save battery power. All incoming calls to the cell phone will roll into the CallWave software, where you can screen their messages, or take the call on your home/office phone.
