About Widgets

Widgets run in frameworks, the most popular of which are Apple Dashboard, Google Gadgets, Microsoft Vista Sidebar and Yahoo! Widget Engine, and we offer a version for each.

To get started, simply choose your widget below.
Apple widget
For those of you who are Mac users, the Apple Widget is made just for you. Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is required.

If you use the Safari browser:

  1. Show Dashboard
  2. Click the plus sign to display the widget bar
  3. Click the CallWave widget icon in the widget bar to open it
If you use a browser other than Safari:
  1. Unzip the file and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder
  2. Show Dashboard
  3. Click the plus sign to display the widget bar
  4. Click the CallWave widget icon in the widget bar to open it
Google gadget
Google fans will be thrilled with the Google Gadget.

Go to this link and follow the instructions.
Yahoo! widget
Yahoo! users will probably prefer the Yahoo! Widget. Yahoo! Widget Engine 3.0+ is required.

If you use Internet Explorer:

  1. Quit Yahoo Widget Engine
  2. Download the widget and choose "Save" (do not "Open" at this point)
  3. Save in "My Documents\My Widgets". If prompted, select "Yes" to replace old version.
  4. Go to "My Documents\My Widgets" and open widget

If you use FireFox:

  1. Quit Yahoo Widget Engine
  2. Download the widget and choose "Save" (do not "Open" at this point)
  3. Move file to "My Documents\My Widgets". If prompted, select "Yes" to replace old version.
  4. Go to "My Documents\My Widgets" and open widget
Vista gadget
Anyone who has upgraded to Microsoft's Vista Operating System will find the Vista Gadget to be their best bet. Microsoft Windows Vista with Sidebar is required.

If you use Internet Explorer:

  1. Choose "Open"
  2. Choose "Install"

If you use FireFox:

  1. Choose "Save File"
  2. Choose "Open"
  3. Choose "Install"
